What Type of Cottage Are You Looking For?

Ontario Cottage rentals are a year round ritual for Toronto residents vacationing north of Toronto in what is often described as "cottage country". Winter in Ontario is best enjoyed by a warm fire surrounded by fluffy snowfalls. A winter holiday vacation in Ontario is often highlighted with an overnight cottage or chalet experience families or couples can choose their cottage rental accommodation from a variety of categories. Many cottages today vary in terms of lakeside or forest setting. There are many options from romantic cottages with fireplace, hot tub and jacuzzi for two or a Honeymoon couple; up to to multi-levels of bedrooms for accommodation of 10 or more guests with several bedrooms for large families or larger groups for their Ontario summer vacation holiday or extended summer family cottage vacation. Cottage visitors unfamiliar with geographic destinations can view Ontario's Cottage country resort destinations where they will learn about Ontario's various locations for cottages on Ontario lakes. It usually implies swimming, golfing, boating, beer consumption, water skiing, wakeboarding, more beer consumption, card games, sunshine, sun tans, bathing suites, birthday suites, canoeing, kayaking, wine consumption, BBQ's, friends and family fun, or any number of activities associated with accommodation by a lake where the informal setting means rest and relaxation. The May 24 weekend signals the start to cottage season in Ontario and ends for the seasonal cottager on the Labour Day Weekend or the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. Many consider a cottage vacation similar to a cottage retreat, or quiet cottage getaway.Cottages today come in various sizes, amenities, bathroom types, and number of bedrooms. Many people own private cottages, and rent them out, where the vast majority of Ontario residents are looking for cottage rentals, or cottage resorts mostly for a week of cottaging up north or just for a weekend getaway with friends or family. The newest trend in cottaging is fractional cottage ownership where one can rent a luxury fractional residence, or share in the purchase of a cottage usually in a block of 5 weeks.
