The Barrie Highway 400, 93, 11 Hillsdale, Dalston, Pumpkin Routes:

Brown's Farm in Dalston, Mertz Farms in Hillsdale, Chappell Farms (North of Barrie).
Proceed North of Barrie on Highway 400 to Highway 93. Take 93 North to Hillsdale. Look for the sign Mertz Farms. Go back on 93 and Proceed South over the 400 and continue towards Barrie until you reach County Road 11 at Dalston. Look for sign Brown's Farm. Proceed East again to Chappell Farms at the North west Corner of Highway 93 and Highway 11. After leaving Chappell Farms proceed South on Highway 11 to Highway 400 South towards Toronto.

The Port Elgin—Lake Huron Pumpkin Route

The 2007 pumpkin season is in full swing north of Toronto. The Port Elgin Pumpkin fest takes place on October 6-7, 2007. This route is a spectacular fall route covering the Grey Bruce Counties, the Blue Mountains, Beaver Valley, Georgian Bay, Lake Huron, Saugeen Shores, the Niagara Escarpement and the Ontario Farmlands. The Port Elgin Pumpkin Festival is a fun family event and may see a world record pumpkin on display. Last years weighed more than half a ton, (1446 lbs).

A suggested fall route and colour drive to the Port Elgin starts here. This route starts in Collingwood Ontario on Highway 26 west. Take Highway 26 to Highway 26 through Thornbury, Meaford to Owen Sound. Proceed west on county road 21to Southhampton and south to Port Elgin.

Returning from Port Elgin. Take county road 3 south and look for the signs to Walkerton. Proceed East through Walkerton to county Road 4, and stay on County Road 4 through, Hanover, Durham, Flesherton. Just past Flesherton watch for county road 13, which will take you through the Spectacular Beaver Valley through Euginia, Kimberley, Heathcote to Thornbury at Highway 26. Turn Right and return to Collingwood.

The Highway 26, Mansfield, Stayner, Egbert Alliston Pumpkin Route:

Fernwood Farms & Market in Stayner, Brown's Farm in Dalston and Drysdale Tree Farms in Egbert (South of Barrie). Suggested Itinerary: Travel north on Highway 400 to Highway 89 through Alliston to County Road 18. Turn right on to County Road 18 north to Mansfield. Take county road 18 north to Highway 9, cross over Highway 9 continuing north where 18 changes to County Road 42. Proceed north to Stayner. Look for signs for Fernwood. Leave Stayner on Highway 26 East toward Barrie. Proceed East on 26 to County Road 10 turn right or south on 10 to Angus. Take Highway 90 East towards Barrie and turn right at County Road 56, and proceed South until you see the Sign for Drysdale Tree Farm.
