FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

OFSC Snowmobile Trail Condition Update

(Barrie, ON. December 15, 2005): The OFSC warns snowmobilers that predicted snow fall during the
next several days will not open most OFSC trails this weekend. Not enough snow has
accumulated or ice formed yet for full grooming operations to commence safely anywhere in
Ontario.

Limited conditions are reported in some areas where a few trails (on abandoned rail beds,
logging roads or utility corridors) may be unaffected by water crossings or swamps.
Snowmobilers are cautioned that “Limited” means a section of trail may be passable for marginal
snowmobiling, but that other parts of the same trail or connecting trails are closed. Check
www.ofsc.on.ca for the latest condition reports.

The OFSC also advises snowmobilers that it is extremely dangerous to ride on snow covered
public roads, private property or waterways this weekend.
