Ontario Beach News: Waters are cool and clean north of Toronto. According to Blue Flag reports over the past few years Ontario has some of the best beaches, and many of those fresh water beaches are in beach resort destinations north of Toronto. 2010 will be the fourth year for Blue Flag designations. Some Ontario Marinas have been included. Clean beaches and clean water makes for great fishing opportunities.

A summer beach vacation is must for most families in Ontario. As the summer has kicks off in Southern Ontario, many residents are looking for the perfect beach escape north of Toronto, in Northern Ontario, cottage country and lake country. Many of our member lakefront properties, resorts, cottages, and campgrounds have a beach with beachfront rentals. There are the Provincial Parks, Conservation Areas, National Parks and private campgrounds with a sandy beach for swimming, sun bathing, sunsets or just relaxing. Ontario boasts the longest fresh water sandy beaches in the world, Wasaga Beach, on Georgian Bay known to attract 100,000 visitors on a hot summer day. Sauble Beach is another popular beach on Lake Huron-Georgian Bay. Many of the Blue Flag Beaches north of Toronto are located on Georgian Bay-Lake Huron.

However, there are many more small private beach areas that are accessible and are consider to be the idyllic beach vacation.
