A place along the boundaries of Algonquin Park for nature enthusiasts, adventurers and novices, this lodge, open year round, offers you and a friend or loved one, warmth and comfort in one of our 9 Grand Log cabins, all with wood burning fireplaces, 6 with extra large double Jacuzzis.

Included with your stay is a Served Breakfast and a Five Course Gourmet Dinner. Dress for Dinner is near Semi Formal.  No Jeans, No sandals.

Spring, Summer & Fall activities available are kayaking, hiking, fishing, swimming, horseback riding, mountain biking and Atving. 

Winter activities available are cross country skiing, dog sledding and snowshoeing.

Welcome to the great outdoors! Only Minutes from Algonquin Park, our backdrop is pure Canadian wilderness. Our hiking trail network is extensive. Spectacle Lake trails (Hike, Walk, Snowshoe over 15 different trails) including Spectacle Ridge – A Breath taking view of several lakes from atop one of the highest peaks around and Ramblers Way – Over 4 Km’s that will separate the novices from the pros. Spectacle Lake is a very clean, sandy bottom lake perfect for swimming. We have a large sand beach with Muskoka Chairs for mom and dad and a playground for the kids. There is a swim platform and a dock. Free to guests, we have canoes, kayaks and paddle boats. For some off site adventure you can go white water rafting, visit all that is Algonquin Park or tour the Bonnechere Caves.  If you like a little horsepower with your nature, we are on an extensive network of trails dedicated to ATV, motocross and snowmobiles. We are the home of Spectacle Lake Rentals and partner with Top of the mountain tours to offer Snowmobile Rentals, Power boat rentals and guided ATV tours. Our Restaurant is always open for breakfast lunch and dinner and happy to pack trail lunches and picnics for our guests.  For rainy days, all of our accommodations have HDTV’s with over 120 channels and unlimited DVD rentals, 3G access and high-speed Wi-Fi. Or come into the lodge to play Wii, PS3, shuffle board or have a cocktail.  

Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre

Explore the Wye Marsh on your own or join the Outdoor Educators for an interpretive walk, feed the chickadees, stroll the boardwalk, search for animal tracks in the snow or learn about nature in the Exhibit Hall.

Algonguin Lakeside Inn

The Algonquin Inn, situated on Oxtongue Lake, just 7 kms from the West Gate of the World Famous Algonquin Park. Providing its Guests with the friendly atmosphere of a small family owned Inn. Scenic Caves Nature Adventures

The Eco Adventure tour at Scenic Caves: Treetop Walking and Zip Cable Gliding. High in the treetop canopy, 40 feet above the ground we've created a web of platform decks spun together by cables and air borne walkways, a mere 10 inches wide. Leave the forest canopy by zipping down on a cable. Learn about the flora, fauna and the area ecosystems in intimate groups. A 3-hour guided trek, by Reservation only.

Haliburton Forest & Wild Life Reserve

Your four hour tour starts at the Base Camp includes a short van ride through the private lands of Haliburton Forest; a canoe paddle across a pristine lake; and a short hike taking you to the Canopy, the highlight of this outing.

The boardwalk winds through the tree tops, up to 20 meters above the forest floor. A suspended platform becomes a gathering place for a snack break while your guide elaborates on the forest environment. A spectacular view of the forest becomes a fitting closure to your tour. A complimentary Wolf Centre pass is available during the day of your visit.
