Golf has been a Briars tradition since 1922, when Stanley Thompson, Canada's premier golf course architect, designed the original 9-hole course. In 1971, under the direction of notable course designer, C.E. "Robbie" Robinson, the golf course was expanded to 18 holes.

Each nine consists of five par 4's, two par 3's and two par 5's for a classically well-balanced design. The course is 7011 yards, has a par of 72, and is 75.1 with a slope of 140.
